A warm and festive welcome to our website. Advent and Christmas is a very special time in the life of the Church here in Ranmoor. A time to prepare ourselves to celebrate the birth of Jesus. There are many things happening at St John’s during this wonderful season, including, for example, our Christingle service for all ages on the 14th December at 4pm and our traditional Nine Lessons and Carols service on the 21st at 6.30pm. Our range of services and events mean that all are welcomed unconditionally and will find a home to be together as one Church family. You are invited to join in the fun and festivities.

Operation Christmas Child - Samaritan’s Purse

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children around the world, by sending them wrapped shoe boxes filled with things that children will enjoy. Following how well people here at St John’s responded last year to the appeal we shall be doing the same again this year. Watch out for more details in coming weeks, but why not begin thinking about what you will put in your shoebox? Boxes to be returned at any time, but no later than Sunday 7 December.

Organ Recital - Monday 24th November

The next Organ Recital in the series will be given by Joseph Hutchinson our Organ Scholar on Monday 24th November 2014.  It will include music by Bach, Sweelinck, Darke and McCabe.

Advent Procession – From Darkness to light – Sunday 30th November 6.30pm

This is our annual service of carols and readings that starts the advent season.  All are welcome to attend this very special service. Why not invite a member of your family or friends along?
