In continuation of the long tradition that dates back to the earliest days of the church, the committed and talented Gentlemen of the Choir rehearse on a Friday evening and provide the Alto, Tenor and Bass parts in the choir at Sunday services.

They are joined by a number of Choral Scholars who will usually be students at one of Sheffield’s universities or colleges. We are also fortunate to have a number of Junior Gentlemen who contribute and gain valuable experience. In many cases, these are former choristers, studying for GCSEs or A-levels.

The Gentlemen are a welcoming, friendly and sociable group. They show great dedication to the church and enjoy reaching high musical standards.
